I'm on a Diet.... Well not Really

I started a new blog all about my Pescctarian Diet. I'm on day 6 and I feel good. I also lost 3 1/2 pounds. I really shouldn't call it a diet, because it's a way of life. Check it out here:

My Legs My Lunges Burn Calories Build Muscle

Sometimes we spend alot of time thinking about our least favorite body part. Today I decided to celebrate my favorite body part, my legs. My legs are the strongest part of my body. I'm not sure why, maybe it's all the walking I did as a kid. Or, maybe it's my body build. It could be the leg lunges I do at night. Yes, I know I say "NO" to exercise but this is something that I actually enjoy doing. Just a few before bed and I'm done. This works out the largest muscle in your body but, the best part is that it burns the most calories!

Abdominals Like These With Iron Gym?

After having three kids, I never thought that my abdominals had a chance of looking anything close to this. I may have found the solution with Iron Gym.

In fact I remember the two exercises that the nurse printed out for me prior to leaving the hospital. They did help somewhat but my tummy is still not as flat as it was before having kids. These two exercises helped me fit back into my pants but did not get rid of that dreaded muffin top!

Well I did a little research and a little more whining when an online friend told me about the pull up bar. She said that her tummy is flatter now then before she had kids. She told me to hang from the bar and pull my knees up to my chest. Well I was extremely excited about this because back in July on father's day I gave my husband the Iron Gym. Here is a commercial to see the many ways you can use it.

Tonight I'm going to see if I can do a few before bed.

Feburary 1 st 2009. 10 lbs in 30 days........

Here's the plan

Starting February 1st 2009 I plan to begin my weight loss journey. Why is it so hard to loose that last 10 lbs? I lost 50 and you would think that 10 would be a breeze but it really isn't. Apparently the less you weigh, the harder it is to loose. Strange but true!

Anyway here's my no exercise no diet plan:

No juice or soda, read the last post to find out why.

Drink water like it's going out of style.

Eat small meals all day making sure that I include some fruits and veggies.

Buy all low fat low calorie options when available

Drink 8oz. of Prune Juice before bed daily ( Just to keep things moving:)

Burn calories by speed cleaning.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Daily Speed Cleaning Routine 10am to 11am
Make beds straighten (3)rooms.
Take one load of laundry down to wash and run back up to the first floor.
Vacuum all three levels quickly.
Clean out tub, sink, and toilet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The key is to clean like you're on speed. Yes, as if you were on supermarket sweep and you're winning a prize at the end of your cleaning spree. I look crazy and the kids enjoy seeing me run around like my life was in jeopardy!

Anyway, I'll have some pictures for you soon......

Stay Tuned!

Loose 1lb This Week

Eliminate juice and soda from your diet!

Go to your refrigerator right now, pull out your orange juice. Look on the back and see 110 calories for 1 serving. Not bad, right? Let's take this a bit further. Go to your cabinet and pull out a measuring cup. Pour 8 oz of juice. Now, I ask you, " Do you really only drink 8oz of juice?"

I didn't. Actually I think that when I calculated it, at the end of the day I consumed somewhere around 500 to 600 calories in juice and soda alone! Those calories add up. Now that you know this. Skip the juice and pick up the water. Watch your scale over the next week and your are guaranteed to loose 1 to 2 lbs!
